Enterprise Designer & OpenText Metastorm ProVision

                                New Zealand Management Magazine

“Its premise is pretty compelling: good design is a great tool for dealing with complexity – and that’s as true for organisations as it is for buildings or jumbo jets.....
What Bill Aronson offers with Enterprise Designer is a framework or context that encompasses all the various elements, operations, and processes that happen within an organisation. He's also helpfully defined just how many of them there are - 26. And yes, each has been designated a letter of the alphabet. It's a model that not only clarifies how all the bits mesh together but provides a useful tool for analysing business activity. It gives managers the data needed for good decision making and enables them to start thinking strategically because they have the basis for a holistic approach to their organisation.”

                                Association of Enterprise Architects Journal

Mr. Aronson released "Enterprise Designer: Building a Conscious Organization" in 2008 in an effort to promote an approach that simplifies Enterprise Architecture to a level that can be implemented universally. While the book is written around the Metastorm toolset, the principles and fundamentals of Enterprise Designer can be applied to other Enterprise Architecture utilities such as Troux Architect, IBM/Popkin System Architect, etc.
Upon receipt of Mr. Aronson's book I quickly scanned through it and came to the conclusion that the approach was too "simple" based on my experiences implementing Architectures in a variety of engagements (both US Federal and commercial). After reading through it, I realized that it is not a "simple" approach but a well thought out dissection of what is typically a very "complex" problem; understanding an entire organization….What I like most about this book is that you walk away with a relatively clear understanding of how to go about creating an Enterprise Architecture from the ground up. This is a great book for enterprise architects that will serve as an idea book and general resource/reference.”

                                Cath O'Brien - Business Analyst

What I have learned in the pages of this book has transformed the way I look at organizations, providing a clarity I thought was impossible to find through the white noise of the business world. If you would like to know where your organization is going, and how it plans to get there, here is the tool.”-
